Guests at The Rocks Christmas Tree Farm

At The Rocks in Bethlehem, holiday traditions invite visitors to explore one of the historic destinations along the New Hampshire Heritage Museum Trail.

Festivities begin Saturday, November 21, with Christmas tree cutting and a craft fair. Visitors can return through December 13 to select a Christmas tree, purchase wreaths, and enjoy the winter landscape.

Complimentary horse-drawn wagon rides will be available on select dates. In addition to holiday activities, the historic Carriage Barn (c. 1884) features exhibits and a gift shop offering locally made gifts and seasonal merchandise.

Managed by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests, The Rocks encompasses 1,400 acres in Bethlehem. Once the summer estate of John Jacob Glessner, a Chicago businessman and cofounder of International Harvester, the property preserves a distinctive chapter of North Country history while continuing to support forest conservation and education.

According to Jeff Barraclough, President of the New Hampshire Heritage Museum Trail, The Rocks is one of many member institutions offering unique opportunities to explore the state’s heritage and make holiday memories.

“Holiday outings on The Trail introduce visitors to the history, people, and places that have shaped our state,” he said. “The Trail is open and fun for all ages this holiday season.”
